That One Thing Podcast
Have you ever felt fear but did it anyway? Have you ever gone with your gut? Have you ever felt stuck in your life or business? This is a podcast where I talk to female business owners about becoming unstuck and changing things for the better, because life's most beautiful moments come from the unpredictable. We’ve all had That One Thing.
I’m your host, Vanessa Carlos: Facebook Ads Specialist and Social Media Mentor to Female Founders. I've spent the last 9 years amplifying women's voices through marketing their small businesses and became fascinated with their business journey.
Every week I talk with a new (and sometimes returning!) female founder about that time they stepped out of their comfort zone, took a courageous leap and changed their business or life for the better, because real growth and beauty comes from what we can't predict.
The interviews are often vulnerable, sometimes hilarious, always valuable. Submit your 'One Things' to vanessa@thesocialally.co.uk

Emily Armitage: The surprising connection between your money and your self-worth
Hello and welcome back to That One Thing! It's amazing to be back in your headphones with more incredible stories from some wonderful female entrepreneurs, lets go!
Emily Armitage is a wealth and worth coach who discovered the connection between wealth and self worth through enduring a toxic relationship. Money was used to control Emily and also a tool she eventually used to escape. Since then, she has worked through rebuilding her self-esteem, unpacking her money stories and learning how linked our wealth and self worth can be.
Now Emily helps women go from feeling rubbish about money (we've all been there haven't we?) full of shame and riddled with guilt to managing their money in a way that works for them. She has shaped her practice around helping others build better relationships with themselves and money because ultimately being who we are meant to be, and using money as the tool it is gives us freedom, choices and opportunities to change what isn’t just and fair, which will make the world a better place.
I was honoured to hear her story, in her own words (please be aware that some of this episode may be triggering to those who have also suffered a toxic relationship)
